Dental implants are one way teeth can be replaced. A metal screw is placed into the bone acting as the ‘root’ of the tooth with a restoration being placed on top of this screw to become the ‘crown’ once healing has completed. Implants can be used to replace single or multiple teeth. They are also used to help retain dentures. Although they are not ‘real teeth’ dental implants must be cared for and cleaned as though they are.

Most adult patients are suitable for implants providing there is excellent oral hygiene and stable oral health however there are many patients where a dental implant would not be suitable.

Our dental implant clinics run on some Saturdays. Please get touch if you would like to see if dental implants are suitable for you and to book a dental implant consultation.
